Can you give us brief information about Fame Residence Lara Hotel?

How do you describe your standards and understanding of quality in hotel management?

As the Fame family, we are an hotel management brand providing reliable and smiling services to our guests who would like to visit us not only today but any time when they need holiday. Our hotel works with an understanding of “sustainable quality” which is based on guest satisfaction, where personnel works in a healthy and safe environment, food is produced and presented hygienically, resources are used carefully with the principle of respect for the nature, wastes are sorted for recycling, and which is always preferred by the suppliers in tourism sector.

In that sense, what does hygiene mean to you? Can you explain your hygiene practices, service concept and quality standards?

In the first hygiene training that I give to personnel as a food engineer, their answer to the question of “What do you understand from the word hygiene?” was “Cleaning”. In time, with our training and implementations, they become aware that the answer is creating a “healthy” environment. For this, we are not satisfied with in-house practices only, but we define all of these in a system with in-situ checks of our suppliers, training, laboratory analysis, measurements, audits by independent organizations and quality certification work. Thus, we create our quality standards.

Can you tell us about the training ofa staff ?

Thanks to the management who believes in training and who supports us, establishing our quality standards is something that enlightens and motivates us on the way to better conditions. Because it is not enough to know about hygiene, you may forget it in time while running after business but it is possible to create awareness again by means of training. We can measure the effectiveness of training given to personnel by making periodical analysis audits.

The feedback from our guests is shared instantly with all departments through our call centre. Thus we can continuously update our training topics. How do you define your purchasing criteria as Fame Residence Lara? What are you looking for particularly with regard to hygiene?

TThe criteria that we define with our suppliers based on an understanding of mutual benefits are established after in situ inspections, product supply, conformance performance during goods acceptance and use and the assessment of their quality certificates. The sensitivity of companies from label information to cold chain, vehicle disinfection, microbiological analysis results, post-supply service quality has increased in line with our sensitivity for hygiene.

Our hotel is almost a small town with regard to its capacity. With a simple calculation, it is very serious business with 1000–1200 guests in high season, meal consumption three times a day for about 5000 people including 350 employees and suppliers, cleaning of all areas and accommodation. To achieve this, we have to use quality products and maintain satisfaction in line with our understanding of quality.
